If you want to know why NATO nations weren’t involved, it boils down to three reasons:
A) Those in Eastern Europe, especially Poland, Finland and the Baltics, have to focus on Russia. We should not expect them to be involved.
B) We can crack jokes about France, Britain and Belgium being Islamic republics, but effectively they are in this case. Fear of the Muslim vote and of Muslim terrorism is what guides them here.
C) Closely related to (B) is Europe’s pathological and institutional Jew hatred, which is aggravated by the Muslim community but would still be a factor without them due to the left. Leon DeWinter’s famous quote applies here “Europe will never forgive the Jews for the Holocaust”.

NATO became obsolete after the fall of the USSR in 1991. It was designed to stop a Soviet incursion into Western Europe. After the fall of the Eastern Bloc, former Soviet satellites were admitted for protection that really wasn't needed. Former Soviet republics that needed the protection were denied entry. Now Western Europe postures while standing aside and kowtowing to its growing Islamist population. The United States should not be tied to institutions created nearly 80 years ago. We need new fresh alliances that serve us.

Its existence is the main reason for ongoing slaughter on Ukraine Russia front and an obstacle to stop it . And NATO costs too much .
Lloyd's of London provide insurance for ships going through straits of Hormuz,..,.so England controls military action through economic insurance....and Lloyd's of London is. Cancelling insurance policies.....but trump...has directed a US agency to provide that insurance while the US navy will escort those ships effectively cancelling and eliminating Lloyds .... fantastic trump move....

European countries never funded NATO because they planned to become Islamo-fascist proxy states of Britain and Iran all along. King Charles III, and Pope Leo XIV giving their blessings with the Ayatollah.

I am no expert, but.........I wonder if NATO's reluctance to defend its states (Turkey and Cyprus) after they were attacked has anything to do with President Trump's repeated focus on taking Greenland "one way or the other" and making it part of the United States.
