Israel deserves congratulations and thanks from the West! They have carried out a master stroke in their actions, with almost no support from their so called allies. We owe them a huge amount. The selfishness of the West will go done in history!
The world will learn to respect Israel as it shows more strength. If America continues on its current path of “ceasefire and deescalation,” it will only weaken its standing in the world.
That there is a Lebanese government that exists in any sense is news to me, and certainly it must be a weak one, but to see it free of Hezbollah is a good thing. Now, the Lebanese need to do their own heavy lifting to shore it up. Help should be given to them if they ask to retake their goverment and country from Hezbollah and thusly also take it back from Iran. if only for a modicum of peace for a period of time. I think the article title says a great deal, sadly Islamic thinking is focused on "after death" and not as in Judaism, celebrating "life" and creating a better life in this life for all. I don't think that this bridge in thinking can be resolved. It is a cultural issue, a difference from Western thinking.
