A 311-page study titled Debunking the Genocide Allegations: A Reexamination of the Israel-Hamas War (2023–2025), published by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and led by historian Prof. Danny Orbach, presents a detailed factual analysis that challenges key accusations against Israel and the IDF. Here’s a summary of the most exculpatory findings:
🛑 Starvation Claims Debunked
• The study found that claims of deliberate starvation were based on erroneous data and circular citations
• UN figures cited a need for 500 aid trucks per day, but prewar averages in 2022 were only 292 trucks daily, with just 73 carrying food
• During the war, Israel reportedly exceeded prewar food delivery levels, averaging 100+ trucks daily, and up to 600 during ceasefires
🎯 Civilian Casualty Allegations Reexamined
• The report disputes claims of indiscriminate bombing and deliberate civilian killings, arguing that many accusations lacked verifiable evidence
• It emphasizes the complexity of urban warfare, especially Hamas’s use of human shields, which distorted casualty figures and battlefield ethics
🧠 Information Manipulation and Media Bias
• The study describes an “inverted funnel of information,” where Hamas-linked sources shaped much of the reporting used by international media and NGOs
• Journalists and aid workers often relied on local translators and fixers affiliated with Hamas, creating a feedback loop of unverified claims
📊 Methodological Flaws in Humanitarian Reporting
• Researchers found that international organizations failed to critically assess their data sources, leading to amplified narratives of genocide and war crimes
• The study calls for a new framework for conflict reporting that resists political and media-driven distortions
🕊️ Acknowledgment of Suffering Without Legal Judgment
• While the study does not deny human suffering, it insists that factual clarity must precede ethical or legal conclusions
• It avoids offering legal exoneration, focusing instead on historical and statistical accuracy.
**This report doesn’t claim perfection on Israel’s part, but it does argue that many of the most severe accusations—genocide, starvation, indiscriminate killing—are not supported by the evidence.
***This research project and its results will be suppressed by media all around the world!!!
Superb write-up, Lucy, although most of the regular readers here know the facts you have outlined, it is always helpful to hear them again, retold in eloquent fashion as you have done.
The problem is getting this out to the masses. WHY ISN'T ISRAEL (and the Trump Administration for that matter) delivering this information to the American public and the rest of the world loudly, clearly, written in crayon if that's what it takes??? This needs to be on all News outlets, and needs to be dished out everywhere, even on TikTok which will show pretty much anything if paid, CCP be damned. There are billionaires like Roy Singham and Soros pushing the other way, funding the Jew-hatred along with the CCP, Iran, and Qatar. Let's outdo them. We can't afford not to.
The great unwashed are being brainwashed by this and it will not end well for us Jews if we don't do something YUUUGE to fight it. I am horrified, and even more importantly terrified, by the comments I read on Facebook. Just today, the notes on posts concerning the Central Synagogue attack run about 4 to 1 toward "Free Palestine!" and "He (the attacker) is a hero!" and "The little mustache man will take care of the little hat people." Tracing these keyboard momzers usually leads to someone with a menial job, often Irish, Spanish, or Australian, if not clearly Muslim. Some are bots, many are real. The latter see no reason not to drop all pretenses and let their inner Jew-hatred fly. After all, they have been given the cover of calling us colonial, oppressive Baby-Killers.
WE HAVE GOT TO FIGHT BACK, and revealing the madness and the sources thereof is a really good start.
The global "fighting back" has started. A coalition of 40 legal and civil society organizations has launched the Gaza GenoLIE, an international educational and social media campaign disputing allegations that Israel committed genocide in Gaza and documenting the deliberate weaponization of the charge after the Hamas-led Oct. 7, 2023, attack. The coalition includes Jewish Onliner on substack. Other lies will be addressed after the genocide lie is completed.
Brilliant synthesis and thank you. Bottom line is if you always disliked Jews, here is finally a language of chants and slogans that free you from the need to think. I appreciate that the young conflict-free westerners and Australians can’t possibly conceive of a huge terrorist regime that is happy to sacrifice its own people in order to harm a tiny democratic country. Credit the Iran/Qatar terrorist organization for a top notch bit of gaslighting.
Maybe you should send this directly to all the genocide scholars and experts in international law out there who are calling this a genocide? (Since you obviously know this subject better than them.)
"That is exactly why preventing wars from beginning in the first place is so imperative. So who started this one? Hamas, whose leadership appears to have engineered October 7th knowing the devastating Israeli response it provoked would be strategically useful. Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar reportedly anticipated retaliation so extreme that he raised the possibility of a nuclear strike on Gaza, and later treated mounting Palestinian casualties as a necessary price for “advancing the Palestinian cause.”
There aren’t any nice and tidy wars. Not from my experience observing them since Vietnam. And Hamas has never wanted to negotiate either to my knowledge. Hamas has won the propaganda war for now and clearly knew what would transpire. They could have quit sooner too I would think. So genocide? Perhaps, if knowingly sacrificing your own people qualifies as a genocide. Premeditated murder for sure!
Unfortunately, this sort of article doesn't matter. The "genocide" claim started at the Durban conference in 2001 and even before, starting after the Six Day War. Gaza population has at least doubled since 2001 and is probably up ten-fold since 1967; it's some strange genocide. It's all propaganda and the people who buy into it can be classified into three groups (at least): 1) the activists who are using this as their latest cause (Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, etc.). They don't care about Palestinians or the Middle East. This is simply an issue around which to organize. 2) Jew-haters. 3) People who have seen some information on TikTok and have given it about ten seconds worth of attention and probably aren't willing to give it any more attention than they have already given it. Pretty clearly groups one and two can't be convinced and group three will move on once it drops out of the news. It's frustrating, particulary as we see American politicians, even Jewish ones, holding up their finger to the wind and seemingly going with the latest polls.
An outstanding and blockbuster of an essay that turns professional and faux journalism on its head. It’s a “We’ve Been Swindled” kind of message that’s aimed at the core target of pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel and anti-Semitic poltroons who continue the 3,500-years-old journey of the Jewish people.
There’s a marvelous book, Beyond Proportionality by Thane Rosenbaum, that’s a must-read to understand the so-called “genocide” by Israel.
As Cab Calloway once sang, “It Ain’t Necessarily So.”

Again Hamas knew exactly what would transpire. They were counting on it. And yes sadly many gazans, innocent civilians, died.

This is good. Show the truth. Show what was shown and what is propaganda. Please do it.
It would help
