Soviet propaganda is cancerous.

Once it successfully invades the human mind, it becomes incurable.

Olga, the inspiration behind Soviet Propaganda is Satanic in origin… As is the inspiration and power behind Jew-hatred in all its many manifestations.

A solid majority of Western Civilization is atheistic, agnostic in regard to all truth claims, Biblically illiterate, and/or Biblically misinformed. As a result, they can never get down to the ‘root cause’ behind the grand sweep of affairs in our world, nor will they be able to understand what lies behind ‘the longest hatred’.

As a Christian, the Bible is comprised of both the Tanakh and Brit Hadasha. But one can restrict oneself to the Tanakh to understand what I’m getting at, and the reason is quite simple; the prophecies related to the ultimate defeat of evil and the doom of Satan. A common theme throughout is that the Chosen People are back in, and exercising sovereign control over, the Land, particularly Jerusalem.

Satan hates God, and all that God loves. Therefore he hates mankind, created in the image of God to share in His love and power. But, he has a particularly intense hatred of the Chosen People, primarily because of the ways in which God has revealed He will use them to fulfill His will and plans. In his twisted mind and black heart, he believes that, if he can eliminate Israel, he can ‘defeat’ God, escape his doom, and retain his independent exercise of power and self-will.

It will never happen, of course. But, as the ultimate liar, he has the pathological liar’s ability to lie, know that it is a lie, yet believe it to be true, simultaneously.

And he acts on that basis.

Am Israel Chai, to the glory of God!

Poor and impoverished people tend to feel deep resentment and envy towards people and structures that enable prosperity and the accumulation of wealth. The communists have used this part of human nature to their own benefit - instill hate and fanatical loyalty to a regime, by pledging alliance to the USSR, aka Russian Empire. In my country, Bulgaria, people were taught falsehoods about Israel and Zionism, even our own Bulgarian history was distorted to oblivion, to fit the Russian narrative. Religion and the belief in God, were replaced with the cult of personality - enabling the rule of political elites, while keeping ordinary people oppressed and obedient to a dictatorial regime.

Amen, Mike! I couldn't agree more. And God is using this situation in the Middle East to further His purposes and Kingdom. Isaiah 9:6-7.

Re: "Europe’s hesitation is particularly puzzling". Really? They hate the Jews, so Israel's involvement makes this contrary to their Islamic-loving minds. At this point, they are basically a lost continent.

As for J Street, they advocated heavily for the JCPOA that allowed Iran to get so close to a deployable nuclear weapon.

Jew-hater, Barak Hussein Obama, sought to reshape the balance of power in the Middle East, to make Iran a major player once again. Hence his handing them nearly half a trillion dollars with which to finance their terror empire and ability to construct not only nuclear weapons, but intercontinental ballistic missiles on which to deploy them.

Thank God for President Trump, who is willing to do what seven US presidents before him refused to do: take decisive again against Iran.

I am baffled by Senator Mark Warner's statement. Every morning at school in post-revolution Iran, we were forced to chant 'Death to America'. Feels like an imminent threat to me...

I think the issue here is that what we think of as the "Left" uses a different moral matrix based on Who/Whom or Friend/Enemy and not on any fixed principles. One of their foundational beliefs is the Leninist idea that all is justified—lying, killing, destruction of civil liberties etc—as long as the act helps the "Revolution", which in Lenin's time were the Soviets but which in our time has more to do with an international class of activists and academics who hope to seize political control of their countries.

The Western Left sees itself as a permanent opposition and this has been vulgarized into a burning hatred of anything that is either Western or Western-allied or Western-derived. They hate capitalism of course, but they also hate Christianity, sovereignty, nations, and all of Western Civ from the Greeks to the Founding Fathers from Plato to Shakespeare to any person, place or thing that doesn't either represent or regurgitate their ideology of punitive egalitarianism.

I always think of the odious Jewish charlatan Judith Butler (also the world's worst writer), who said: "Understanding Hamas, Hezbollah as social movements that are progressive, that are on the Left, that are part of a global Left, is extremely important.”

What kind of twisted ideology would make the world's leading crusader against heteronormativity support theocratic terrorists who murder gays and treat women like chattel? One whose politics and morality claims nothing exists but power and that all power is evil and illegitimate unless wielded by them in pursuit of the Permanent Revolution. They need the Islamists to shed the blood they're too cowardly and cossetted to do on their own, and they also need the Islamists to be permanently oppressed victims, which they achieve by being unable to build but only to destroy.

America made a terrible mistake when it allowed the charlatans and petty tyrants of the New Left to indoctrinate two generations of children. We've subsidized our own enemies who dream of someday destroying America, but who'll settle for destroying Israel instead.

The jig is up for Js Street. Literally nobody thinks its "Pro Israel" any longer. In point of fact it is purely anti-Zionist and is no better than JVP. It should not be welcome in any Jewish setting and should and must be ostrocized.

Perhaps a good post to share here on FoJ is this genius article by Zineb Riboua, essentially about the same subject, but getting even closer to the geopolitical implications:

Seeking Easy Kudos from their peers: the politics of Vanity and performance, and confected ‘Outrage’, which is actually the disgusting Left-politics of the Narcissist, hiding in plain sight. This is The Tribe of the Left-stupid: Global, insidious and ultimately of such extreme usefulness to The West’s many enemies, as well as to The Nazis we have monitored here in The State who are just as dangerous. Try them instead on both White and Judeo-Christian EXCELLENCE, which is the truer hierarchy which they generally rank so low in when compared to the rest of us.

Positions on Iran frequently mirror domestic commitments: views on nationalism, immigration, Israel-Palestine, feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, and the legitimacy of Western power. Foreign policy becomes an extension of identity politics. Iran has become less a country in Western debate than a mirror - reflecting our own divisions back upon us. https://itssimplycomplicated.substack.com/p/the-war-with-iran-is-taking-place

Joshua - it is wonderful that all parties in Israel are united in support of IDF and it's operation. As you know, in the US, the majority does not support the war. President Bush worked hard to convince Americans to support the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, and for several years, both parties were on board. President Trump failed to do this and behaved more like a king than like a president. He has not consulted Congress, has not invited opposition politicians for meetings and conversations. As a result, even hawkish Democrats are not feeling comfortable expressing statements in support of this operation. Nor are they asked by the White House. I wish it were different, but it is what it is.

I believe that President Trump met with the “gang of 8” and told them what he was planning to do. He officially notified Congress within 48 hours and both Senators and Representatives have received classified briefings.

Valeriy Ginzburg's avatar

Yes, thank you for this clarification. Let us hope that the country will be more united than it is now. The near-partisan division (with Sen. Fetterman being the only Democrat supportive of the operation) is not good, either short-term or long-term.

I agree. I remember when I saw that when President Obama was re-elected in 2012 while winning less than 40% of white voters that we were in trouble

One of the keys to get those on the fence to change their mind is to cause cognitive dissonance. Many are experiencing it today by finding themselves supporting a bloody regime in Iran while its citizens celebrate. They can’t explain it.

On Gaza one causes cognitive dissonance by providing questions to them that force them to either admit they hate Israel regardless or that Israel is not at fault.

For example, if asked to comment on the number of deaths in Gaza ask flip the question.

Ask them “if after the first Israeli strike back Hamas realized it would lose and put down its weapons, and turned in its leaders, would Israel have stopped and accepted the surrender”?

If the person answers no then you have no chance of convincing them of anything at all—they just think Israel is bloodthirsty and wanted revenge. If they say yes, then they’ve answered their own question. The problem causing the death is Hamas, not Israel.

Cognitive dissonance.

Yet Britain and France launched an unprovoked war on Libya to overthrow Qaddafi who was not remotely a threat to them. Iran is an ongoing threat, but they don't see any reason to attack that regime. Very strange logic.
