"Enemies who have stated, clearly and repeatedly, that their objective is annihilation" and still way too many in the West, particularly, have become predisposed to support Iranian barbarism, attempt to create a sympathetic view of murderous Hamas and the Gazaniacs, and condemn Israel for, blast it all, not wanting to die. Finally, I knew that the modern industry of "kill the Jews" started in the 1920's just after Schicklgruber joined the early Nazi Party in 1919. The more things change the more they stay the same, yes?

Thank you for doing the research and laying out so clearly what we all can see.

Fascinating, if horrible. Your essay explains a lot of what we have seen since Oct. 7.

shabbat shalom - good essay.

The idealogy that led directly to the Shoah started long before the 1920s.

The first expulsion of Jews in the Common era - was Carthage 250 C.E. which coincided with the wider distribution of the Book of Acts and the Synoptic Gospels, yes thats right the "N.T"

In 313 C.E. The spread of Christianity throughout the Roman Empire by Constantine and the early Church Fathers made sure to punish Jews for rejection/deicide/blood and host libel.

Same canards different times, and it comes from both Christianity and later adopted by Islam.

Thanks to the ratline created by the Vatican - many nazis war criminals did evade prosecution but not just in Europe - south America and the USA - as recent as 12 years ago, it was discovered that nazi criminals were collecting social security benefits after leaving the USA (before deportation)

One nazi war criminal Heinrich "Heinz" Freidrich Reinefarth (The Butcher of Warsaw) was a German SS commander during World War II and government official in West Germany after the war. he became the mayor of Westerland on the island of Sylt, in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, which has a long tradition as a posh seaside resort for wealthy, prominent Germans. Today his grandchildren carry on their opa's aryan tradition in Judenhass all over facebook.

There are plenty of Christians from various "sects" podcasting from Youtube and other platforms demonizing Jews - social media is full of their slandering comments on Jews and Israel.

Let's call it out for what it was and still is. Judenhass L'dor vador

Excellent essay. I will make one more observation. Not only are the Israelis mounting a resistance, they are continuing an offensive. Stay on offense and do not back off.

Powerful article. I would add one nuance. In much of the Middle East the ideology clearly never disappeared, and for Jews living in many Muslim countries the hostility never really ended. But in the West there actually was a long period when it was pushed to the margins. In places like the United States and Canada, Jews lived well and were broadly accepted in society. Antisemites existed, of course, but they were mostly on the fringes. I would say that lasted roughly from the end of the war until the late 1970s. What changed, in my view, was the rise of radical Marxist ideology and its later alliance with Islamist movements, which brought these ideas back into universities, politics, and activism. What we’re seeing today is not something entirely new — it’s the normalization of ideas that had once been pushed out of respectable society.

So true. When I read with admiration about a Holocaust survivor at, say, age 90, I think with disgust about Gestapo survivors of a similar age, enjoying their golden years in Argentina or elsewhere.

In a sense, we are all Holocaust survivors. If we regard ourselves as having come out of Egypt at the time of the Exodus, and if we are here now, we were also everywhere in between.

Nazism was and is an ideology of depraved psychopaths. The top Nazi Leadership were all sexual deviants. I have posted on this subject before, but Nazism was and is pure Dark side: the ideology of deeply inferior men who sent millions of their betters to their deaths, gaining access to other men’s bodies, out of sublimated Jealousy and hatred: pure Darkness all the way. Nazism is staging a comeback today using the same psychology, festering pruriently in the stinking utter depths of the worst criminal elements of society where it has incubated since 1945. It has and is being monitored continuously.

Antisemitism initially rooted in religious prejudice, was transformed by Hitler, who merged religion, race, and culture to orchestrate the Holocaust by scapegoating a Jewish population that comprised less than 1% of Germany.

Today, this recycled hatred is directed at the existence of the Jewish state. The catalysts for this propaganda include "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," a fictitious booklet commissioned by Tsar Nicholas II in 1903. Published six years after the First Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, it sought to distort the meeting's goal of establishing a legally secured home for Jewish people in their indigenous land.

Furthermore, while imprisoned for high treason in 1923, Hitler wrote "Mein Kampf." He spends less than 1 year out of the 5-year sentence in jail. Both "The Protocols" and "Mein Kampf" were widely disseminated throughout the Arab and Islamic world to incite anti-Jewish and anti-Western sentiment. These themes continue to be utilized today by extremists across the political spectrum to fuel modern antisemitism.

You are an excellent writer! I did want to point out, however, that the Neo-Nazis never actually marched through Skokie. Instead they held a small rally in Chicago which shows that public outrage--if the planets align!--can actually work.

Which is why speaking out--your powerful essay--is so critical..
