I absolutely agree with the sentiments expressed. The Jewish people have spent too much time trying to educate those who do not wish to be educated and donating billions to civic, cultural, arts, educational, political and medical (the list is unending) organisations who have turned their backs on us when we needed/begged for their support. Our ‘bargain’ with the west has spectacularly collapsed yet we still keep trying to convince the world that we have a ‘right’ to exist. I am an Australian Jew from Bondi, Sydney, Australia who narrowly escaped the carnage inflicted upon my community because I decided not to go to the Chanukah celebrations on the beach with my 2 year old grandson because of my fear of attending a large, unprotected gathering of Jews in a public place. I do not want to live like this anymore and am seriously considering leaving the land of my birth to live in the only land where I can be who I am without apologising for it.

That’s why most of my family is living in Israel!

Remake after remake after remake of, No One Is Coming To Save You.

Many of us have grown up lucky, grown up naive, and both. Luck runs out and reality intrudes. Learn, prepare, train.

Any Jew without two AR15s (two equals one and one equals none) and two M9 sidearms along with a few thousand rounds of ammo is forgetting WW II. And if you're a father reading this; you should have two ARs for each member of your household. So a wife and 3 kids; 10 ARs. And get actual duty rifles, not cheap garbage.

Here is my new idea - yes getting a license to carry is nice; learning self-defense is also nice. BUT, this is like spraying the virus AFTER it flares up. What we need, and what we should fund, is a Diaspora version of the Mossad. These people have to speak Arabic, and understand the mentality. Then, they can infiltrate mosques and social media and hopefully learn about what is being planned. Then you do whatever is required to thwart the plans.

Money should go to paying these people, NOT TO ANY OTHER CHARITIES (there are plenty of other people in the world to take care of the animals and the veterans and the sick). This also means not funding Jewish federations and other organizations that don't really do anything (I'm exempting planting a tree in Israel, supporting Birthright or the Weizmann Institute, or your local Hillel). We need to get our own Mossad up and running, and fast. Then, and only then, can we truly sleep peacefully.

Brilliant idea. I don’t understand why it hasn’t been done.

Thank you! I was inspired the past couple of FOJ blogs. It’s the logical next step.

It is. I’ve been saying for years that we need an Irgun recreated here.

This is even better.

Although, we could do both.

I'm just going to keep repeating this idea and hope that someone with the right credentials, the right power, the right network will make it happen. (I'm just a 70 year old grandma living in West Palm).

I tried to launch a counter-intel program for the Diaspora. That was before October 7. It received no traction. I tried after October 7. It received no traction. But I agree that we need to do something proactive. I am planning to write about the program described in this article as a possible template.https://www.israelhayom.com/opinions/there-is-only-one-way-to-protect-jews-against-antisemitism/

Wow, that's amazing. I will read this when I have a moment, but I totally appreciate your thinking and your planning.

Thanks so much for posting this. It's a great idea with a broad scope. I just would love to also see a super intelligence branch as well. And some protection for Jewish students on campuses.

All Jews should behave like the State of Israel. That is, fuck with us and we will make you pay. Like when Meyer Lansky was hired to beat the shit out of American Nazis after they attended German-American Bund rallies.

History proves attacks on Jews serve as the canary in the coal mine, warning of democratic collapse and violence spreading to other minorities. When antisemitism rises unchecked, it signals broader societal breakdown threatening all vulnerable communities.

Leaders, civil and political, should state that attacks reveal systemic hatred that never stops with Jews but metastasizes to threaten everyone. If leaders do not know this, they should consult history.

That said, the global Jewish community should respond accordingly. This attack reflects systemic hatred, threatening all religious, ethnic and cultural minorities.

Perfectly stated. It’s time we give to our own. We must be one people again helping each other.

As a non-Jewish ally of Israel and Zionism, I’ve watched Jewish kindness and dialogue be mistaken for weakness—especially by woke political actors who confuse appeasement with virtue. Figures like Mamdani and the institutions that elevate him launder radical Islamist narratives through progressive language, teaching bureaucracies to excuse intimidation as “context.” That isn’t tolerance; it’s subversion. Antisemitism today isn’t a misunderstanding to be workshopped away—it’s power exercised under ideological cover. Bondi Beach showed what happens when dialogue replaces deterrence. Equal enforcement of law and unapologetic self-defense aren’t extremism; they’re survival. Hanukkah’s lesson is resolve, not permission.

Well said.. at some point kindness and empathy can be come dangerous if that's all you have to survive.

Jewish friends, you have two choices. Stand up together or die. It really IS that simple. I was a 23-year skydiver in my past life and we considered ourselves dead after exit. It was what you did on the way down which changed that equation because to do nothing meant gravity would be the final arbiter when you hit terra firma. Are you gonna allow Jew-haters the power to be the final deciders of your fates? The choice IS up to you.

Yes! Brilliant.

Thank you for the excellent article which needed to be written. Instead of looking at what was tried to decrease Jew hatred, such as Holocaust education, and which as been an abysmal failure on so many fronts, especially against the new sources of hatred such as the fanatic Islamists and Socialist/Progressive/Communist Red Guards, the unelected leadership continues to repeat the same mantras over and over ad nauseam. We must debate, write option articles, always be polite and quiet, teach Holocaust Education, and all will be good. Worse, they also say, "Do not make waves or they will hate us" even though they do already, always thank the police even though they are actually the bodyguards and servants of the Jew haters, and not the Jews, and always carry your nation's flag and sing the anthem, despite the high number of regular citizens agreeing with the hatred, or in effect supporting it by their stone silence, as well as the governments headed by Jew hating, Israel demonizing parties which for two years already have incited hatred of Jews, ignored the violence against Jews despite laws forbidding it, and who always attach Islamophobia along with antiSemitism, to appease who they really worship, their Muslim voters, who often are ten times the number of Jews in a country or more. This is true of Starmer, Albaneze, and Carney, all who have coordinated their attacks on Israel, done nothing to stop the violence, which they have the power to do, and mumble meaningless words while doing nothing to prevent what has happened in Australia and soon in Canada.
