Brave is difficult. Brave is scary. If you are the victim of assault and you defend yourself, you may be the one arrested and/or sued. Provide a true comment on social media, and you risk cancellation and/or your life ruined. Furthermore, experience has taught me that the result of flipping someone off could immediately be very negative to your health and welfare. But it is a start in the right direction. However, personally, I prefer the good old world hand on the cleft of the elbow and the fist and arm in an upward motion for a full-throated "up yours, a$$%&#e!"

Brave comes in many different forms. Brave is also organizing politically to get your candidate elected. It is using the power of the US Constitution to your benefit. And it is using chutzpah intelligently.

You don't have to let someone beat you up if you can defend yourself if you are in that situation. Self defense is a right in law.

Saying something ignorant on social media may get you canceled so say it smartly. Don't fall into the trap of someone pushing your buttons.

And yes the good old arm in the elbow upward motion works too :)

It makes me laugh every time some idiot on cable news says "The Israelis should surrender to Iran, because by defending themselves, they've made themselves the pariah of the world."

Ha! Since when have the Jewish people NOT been treated as "the pariah of the world".

Our Jewish brothers and sisters learned centuries ago that when you have to choose between saving your reputation among idiots and saving your ass, AWAYS choose to save your ass. The idiots will pass away into history, while the Jewish people will continue to prevail. Am Yisrael Chai!

The news media or other aspects of elite culture may view Israel as the pariah of the world, but it doesn't stop them from using Israeli created tech or life saving inventions. This is why it is all nonsense. Israel saves the world day in and day out.

In case you aren’t familiar, the middle finger gesture in Israel doesn’t point generically upward, but instead directly at the person you’re flipping off. There’s no mistaking who it’s intended for.

Since I was flipping off all the antisemites, it was a generalized flip. :)

Precisely! And so it shall be at all times!

I loved this! I will feel very satisfied when I give the idiots the ‘chutzpah’ treatment! When I am in their presence, the middle finger will be on display ‘

Unfortunately, the "anti-war" isolationists on the right are just as problematic.

What is this talk of giving up on Ukraine? Who is giving up on Ukraine? And talking about Ukraine and talking about cowards ..... had Biden given Ukraine what it wanted and asked for in the beginning of the War, we might be in a far better position today that this stalemate war. And if the coward Biden would have supported Israel more and condemned Hamas more, the Gaza war might have been over by now.

Chutzpah sounds good and I adore Chutzpah but frankly the Democrats lack it and the large Jewish organizations lack it completely. If you want Chutzpah, you will find lots of it with Trump and his voters and you will find plenty of it with our brothers and sisters in Israel.

Jews in the Diaspora ..... not too much on the chutzpah, more catering to the Nebeshes.
