I would like to see Judith Butler move to Gaza to see how her lesbian self will be treated by Hizbollah or Hamas. Maybe they will make her their intellectual speaker so she can explain to the world that terrorists are just nice people. Freedom fighters who just in love of killing civilians.

Possibly the left somehow decided that swapping out Jews for jihadists would be a smart move. It’s working well at the polls.

"The Left" were never interested in non-heterosexual people, they never cared about them. "Left" defines itself as "anti-capitalistic", i.e. to abolish any personal freedom - to which a fundamental prerequisite is economic freedom, which by "Left" gets generally defamed as "exploitation". So that kind of complete one-sidedness fundamentally is "unscientific", as an argument-based "scientific" approach can only emerge when things get looked at from several aspects.

Getting a benefit ("added value", "profit") from inventing, producing, selling a.o. things, for oneself to a.o. lead "a better life" or to invest from the "profit" etc., is judged as a "male("-dominated")" thing, of which women could allegedly never or hardly be capable.

From that "left" point of view, their strange dreams of a "better world" have always only included and imagined that in such a "better world" the (supposedly "male" - not just "human") striving for advantages, profit, for doing something better or being better and thinking further, for being more successful than others, would be absent or such striving would only occur and be accepted "for the community".

In other words, such fairy-tale ideas contain a complete misunderstanding of (not only human) existence, a "liberation" of people "from themselves", an infantile belief (!) that people - "freed" from striving and struggle - would "get further ahead" than through individual striving, the "profitable" results of which would then be partly distributed to the less talented, lucky or capable.

The results of that belief could be observed in the "real existing socialism".

And by this, for example, the "left" has an exclusively so-called "materialistic" attitude towards "feminism", in which the supposedly "male-dominated" meritocracy is defined as the (sole) cause of all oppression, exploitation, etc., and every other and further aspect is described as (at most) a "secondary contradiction".

The oppression of non-heterosexual (= "male-dominated") sexuality has also always been viewed and judged only from this perspective.

The "left" has never been concerned with "women" or "homosexuals" and other allegedly or actually oppressed and discriminated including perceiving of the entire range of reasons for this.

The so-called "Palestinians" have the same - entirely self-inflicted - "problems" with "the Jews" as the "left" has with "capitalism". For most Jews, capitalism is - culturally - attractive and plausible as a prerequisite for independence, freedom, and independent thinking, all values that have no tradition in the "Arab/Muslim cultural area" - or, more precisely, are largely frowned upon, since "Islam" is a death cult that rejects life and its enjoyment or is alien to it.

It is obvious that such an attitude, alien to life and people in all their diversity (!) and instead seeking to "educate" them, is much closer and more popular with the "left" than, for example, women, gays or blacks, Chinese, Indians, etc., who (want to) make something of their lives and do not constantly moan and blame everyone else for their misery, as the so-called "Palestinians" like to do. Moreover, "the gays" are often so "hedonistic" - that does not go down well with the left.

So it really shouldn't be surprising that "leftists" abandon gays as soon as they encounter other objects that are better suited to being defined as "oppressed" and seized for that by the "Leftists". Without the constant invention and pampering of "oppressed", the "leftists" could have packed up long ago. "The Jews" were favorites of the "leftists" from Auschwitz to 1967: that's when "the Jews" became cheeky and no longer wanted to be "oppressed".

For me it is inexplicable how anyone could ever have had better expectations of "leftists" (to be honest, when I was younger, I was that dumb myself - as probably many were ... but when I had "political" quarrels, it was always with the "Leftists"... It took a while to realize the reason for this: that I - like so many others - had allowed myself to be persuaded into that being "left" makes you a "good person"; until I realized that this is a mere bullshit lie)

By self-definition, they are not allowed and do not allow themselves to do better - unless they finally leave their musty stable of left-wing self-assurance.

So the question is why the hypocrisy, the double standards, the selective outrage? Or maybe, for them its the question of weighing the situation and if there is ideological conflict, you go with the higher principle. If you go with the higher principle, then you are following the plan.

I believe in the convenient marriage of Islamists and Marxists, the Star Trek Prime Directive is whatever leads to the destruction of Western Culture. Nothing supersedes that and nothing represents more dramatically Western culture and Democracy than Israel. And to them, nothing is more vulnerable than Israel.

Palestinian Gay hatred and misogyny is completely overlooked as it is harmful to the Prime Directive which is the destruction of Western Culture. Slavery is completely overlooked in Arab countries because it will harm the Prime Directive and yet it is a main feature of Progressive discourse in the West. How the west was founded on slavery and even discussions of reparations and yet slavery was bigger in the East than in. the West and nobody talks about it.

I can list numerous examples of selective outrage and hypocrisy but if you look at it from the Prime Directive, they are actually following a very precise agenda. Never underestimate our enemy, their plan is solid and it is long term.

I have hope now with the outcome of yesterdays election. It showed me anyway that Americans are waking up to what is going on and they want it to stop. We already have lost one generation so it will ber an uphill battle but a winnable one.

Jerry - thank you. This is a much-needed bucket of ice water. Marxism's core belief that Capitalism will destroy itself has not materialised. Perhaps they hope to bring about the fall of the "West" and the rise of their utopia by aligning with the the very people who will crush them underfoot. I am truly puzzled by pure insanity.

Sylvan, we live in a Bizarro World. The Marxist just cannot comprehend that the Islamists will go after them when they are done. Even Israel thought they would make concessions and then live in peace but was never the case. In addition, the Marxists get lots of money from the Islamists which of course clouds their vision of reality.

Did you ever think there would come a day when a Judge was asked "What is a woman?" Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson answer was "I am not a biologist" or when University Deans were asked whether calling for "Genocide of the Jews" violated schools code of conduct? The answer was "It depends"

Hopefuloly, things will improve with Trump

Dear papa j,

The Prime Directive you allude to is already well known. It is called CRT or Critical Race Theory, and it is completely entrenched in the curricula of colleges and universities throughout the West.

Unless and until there is a revision of course content to eliminate this toxic ideology, as the expression goes, "We are hooped."

What I'd like to know is, what was the outcome of the meeting Abby Stein had with officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran. That wuld be interesting to know. One of the problems with the Progressives is that they make identity the be all and end all for human beings. Everyone is in a box and don't dare try to change that. Until the people who are so in alignment with terrorist groups and believe that they can be transgender, gay, lesbian will not truly understand the religion or culture until they put themselves in a living position there. They do not have the courage to do so, but as long as it makes them feel good, that's what counts. They can see themselves as Progressive, compassionate, and understanding of those groups. They don't seem to understand that there are multiple facets to a human being, their gender or sexual orientation being only one part of it.

I was raped at the age of six, by members of the British Security Service MI5. My sexuality was then managed by The State and Nazi Elements in the European State, throughout my childhood and young adulthood. You say: 'The gay does not bend to the will of the individual, nor does it wait for a convenient time to emerge.' You are wrong about this. Sexuality can be bent, and then used by Malicious and Malign Elements of the State here in Europe, in my case for an anti-Semitic hit for The religious play by The British State and the Anti-Semitic Elements of MI5. This mode of attack (Rape as a weapon of War) is actually very widespread. Only now am I beginning to recover my heterosexuality. Our reports of this are with you. They and the events they describe have been verified.

Indeed. I am being watched by Five and Six in a match currently ongoing: Headline response to my post here has just appeared in The Times Newspaper tonight: 'Care's Criticism: No Idea what you are talking about says Smiling Jones' - 'A smiling Eddie Jones has claimed to be unaware of Danny Care’s criticism of his management style. '

This is how The State operates here in Europe: A War against Jews for positions in the money markets and the Digital Financial System.

Love the article because it illuminates how the far left is no different from fundamentalist christians -- just a different belief system. This is very important. It is ALSO important for ALL of us to differentiate between the progressive / woke / far left / social Marxist crazies and what the original left stood for. Perhaps the Dems should have made that distinction, exercised leadership by taking a stand and saying that those people are not who we are. I know, they're always afraid of losing votes, but in the end leadership means taking a stand, and making a convincing argument: Western Enlightenment, which means science, logic, liberty, equality, reason, democracy. Show respect for others AND do not be afraid to say who we are!!

"The cognitive dissonance required to hold a 'Ceasefire now!' sign in one hand and a 'Globalize the intifada!”' sign in the other reveals a willingness to sacrifice reality for ideology."

That certainly is one interpretation. Consider another. Calls for a cease-fire may actually be dog whistling th\e promotion of a tactic designed to eliminate Israel and its Jewish people because a cease-fire would allow Hamas to read group, recruit, and rearm so that it could repeat Oct. 7th over and over again, as it has vowed to do on multiple occasions. More obvious and reinforcing the Left's genocidal intent are the calls to globalize the Intifada, the Arabic term for terror as an instrument of war.

"At the very heart of leftist circles, even feminist activists like Judith Butler —whose work is studied in Women’s Studies courses across academia — insist on the importance of 'understanding Hamas and Hezbollah as progressive social movements.'"

Butler and her like would no doubt hold up National Socialism as an even more progressive movement than Hamas and Hezbollah. That is how far the garden pathe the Left has gone,

In conclusion, be it noted that the Left has morphed into the AltL as witness it taking CRT (Critical Race Theory) for its New Testament.

"The Left", just like "The Right", and any other group that doesn't fall neatly into this classification, is not primarily defined by rational thought. It's about gut feelings first, and then come justifications and spins from a rational part of the person, what Jonathan Haidt has likened to an inner lawyer. Sometimes the rationalizations of one feeling conflict with the rationalization of another feeling, but our innate lawyer can make it work, at least to ourselves. The Left has feelings about equality, but also about underdogs. If the underdogs are also brutally repressive of equality within their society, then the innate lawyer will make the best of it. Logical consistency is not what drives most human beings.
