You do elaborate what a Jewish way of life and Jewish habits can afford, albeit a bit 'romantically' for my taste. It is true to say, also, that many times the practice of our religion and culture, whether at a Seder table, in a synagogue, or in any other traditional form, rather than the act saying 'I love you', is performed with such automatic knowledge accompanying it, that it becomes impersonal - even impersonal to G-d. In other words, without passion, joy or intensity, even without full and meaningful concentration. I have seen this in Melbourne and in Israel where I once lived. It can become rote, and this divests it of meaning. It can also have hypocrisy attached to it if we perform the rituals then afterwards behave badly with our loved ones. It needs linkage of Jewish thought and inheritance to more personal behaviour to become meaningful and it needs awareness at all times.
