Western MSM and politicians, intellectuals fact the majority of Westerners do not understand the cultures, religions, mentality and state of mind of the tribes of the ME. Shining high rise towers, flashy cars, yachts and $trillions do not change basic behavior of the cult of death.

How delusional, homo-economicus is always “trumped” by homo-ideologicus. The barbarians are in control of the so called Palestinians and until they are eliminated history will just repeat itself.

Trump could have simply spoken the truth, but his bluntness does not go that far because he thinks deals go down well everywhere, even in the Arab Muslim world. I too note that the US armada is moving to the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf, but we shall see if the Iranian regime is taken down or some other scenario justifying the Prince of Peace winds up being the case. It is increasingly harder to separate the man from the policy. What is more important is what Israel does. So far the Netanyahu government has gone along with the charade, but over 1200 dead civilians and over 900 soldiers' deaths ought to count for something, especially among the Israeli public. But Jews do not seem to learn any more than the non-Jewish world. Gaza must become Israeli. Israel will know how to settle it and develop it. The Muslim Arabs can leave as the Jews left Iraq, Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt, etc. and build their dream palaces in their own countries. They should be grateful to be leaving alive. They can always go to the Anglosphere and western Europe which seems to love them.

I can imagine Trump's plan for Gaza will be met in Israel with some surprise. But it all makes perfect sense. What's more, it's the best investment since Bernie Madoff retired! I recommend investing; you'll see what fantastic returns it will yield, better than Monte Carlo. Also, that small investment of 1 billion in the 'Board of Peace': who wouldn't want US protection? Well, a few pesky European states, but they'll soon find out what can happen to their little business.

Like everything that Trump does, we see the moves on the chessboard but not the play that ends in the checkmate. We know that his plays have ended in many winnings. The big economic and military stick is present and it has been used. The Art of the Deal is always present, including ask for everything and settle for what was the goal. And always be ready to walk away if the opponent is not ready to be reasonable. So FAFO.

Sharply observed breakdown of the disconnect between the glossy presentation and historical precedent. The Arafat billionaire detail alongside today's Qatar-based Hamas wealth realy underscores how aid monetization became its own industry. Shaath's Arabic speach context is crucial framing most Western coverage will miss, and seeing those contradictions laid out shows why the Jetsons-style renders read like theater rathr than policy.

Watching the players, especially Kushner, was like watching a sit-com. There's a great quote that the best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up. This is what they all need to do because they surely don't understand the Arab mind. The people in charge are the foxes in the hen house, and the PA involvement shows past lessons have not been learned. No talk about the tunnels, no talk about the last hostage, no talk about Hamas disarming or giving up power, and yet they believe that all of this will happen because as Kushner said if we believe it will happen. For a wealthy, well-traveled young man, how naive. This 'plan' will take forever and by that time, many of these people will be gone. Kushner, Witkoff, and Trump sound exactly like what they are, real estate developers. This was a full out sales pitch enabled by players in the background masquerading as friends of our government. Looking at the slick PP, I could see so easily how the Palestinians would buy into this (sarcasm). This is not their world; this is the world of wealthy Western and Middle East leaders who think by having 180 skyscrapers, 100,000 housing units, 200 schools, 75 medical facilities will suddenly turn it all around. Have they asked themselves the question who will be reprogramming these people to turn their hate for Israel into working with them? And Kushner is going to Washington to meet with prospective donors to ask them if they would like to invest their money into a black hole. Call me cynical but I'm a very realistic person. This is not going to work for the long haul, but It will be interesting to watch it unfold.

Brilliant analysis of how Shaath's past rhetoric undermines this whole exercise. The Hamlet framing is spot-on, presenting an offer so absurdly generous it almost forces a rejection that reveals true intentions. I worked near a foreign aid org once and saw firsthand how accountability vanishes when money flows through unstable governance. The $10 billion GDP projection ignores decades of systemic misuse, but maybe that's the point.

This plan is pure fantasy as long as Hamas maintains power and control over Gaza

I gladly invest in Israel bonds, but investing in Gaza would be insane as long as Hamas and the PA have any involvement in their reconstruction.

Ask the Iranians if Trump keeps his promises.

I wonder what Trump has actually digested of the Arab mind set regarding themselves, Islam and the Jews. Or Kushner and Witkoff. The plan is fantastical. As others wite, I don't see the shiny towers envisioned for a hamas free Gaza as anything that the Arabs actually want. Keeping Israel as the thorn in Islam is the objective....Abraham accords and all because we all know that Ibrahim was Muslim. Daoud and Suleiman too. Jews have to "go back to Poland." That poem you relate to us says a lot about their mindset.

Damn. I thought this was going to be an in depth report on Mostly Peaceful Palestinians and possibly a decision by Rashida to be the first president of the New Gaza given her commitment to peace and prosperity.

The solution i a population transfer. Move the arabs from Gaza, Judea and Samaria into Iraq, Libya, Algeria and some to South Africa. That solves the problem Everything else is fantasy. Why all the fantasy? Why is western civilization afraid to defend itself?

We have a base in Qatar, why not take ownership of their oil and gas fields and the billions derived from them. 11% of people in Qatar are Qataris, everyone else are foreigners workers. If we can kidnap Maduro why not take control of Qatar oil and gas fields.

Problem with this solution is none of those countries would take them. Nor would any other Arabic nation. They all would understand that a significant portion of those refugees would become insurgents because their lust to eradicate Israel will not go away just because they get a nice job and a nice apartment in a new country. Jareds re development plan leaves out the part about how many of the population would still care more about destroying Israel rather than living in a highrise on the beach. You can buy some people off, but its hard to buy off murderous fanatics thinking they are blessed by a deity.

So you are saying the buildup in the ME is not for Iran? But for Gaza?

That Trump won't send the IDF in to kill Hamas? The US will do it?

I find that highly unlikely. The civilian deaths inevitably that would occur would be intolerable to US citizens.
