For unknown reason Matt Bernstein's YouTube channel popped up on my feed. Never heard of him before. An effeminate gay progressive Jew for Palestine, and Israel hater on the Sam Seder Israel hating network. 650,000 subscribers! This dwarfs by a factor of 10-100 many pro Israel you tube channels. Who are these "Jews?? " I am convinced the "as a Jews" for Palestine are as big a problem as an Owens or Carlson.
As are the ultra orthodox in Israel who refuse to work, enlist and serve, live on hard working Israeli’s tax dollars we call welfare, and block respected secular institutions! I am an unabashed Zionist, support Israel, Israelis and global Judaism, however the extremists had better prioritize our common future as the article states, rather than marching against one another! We must focus on the improvement and survival of us all, as we are too successful and powerful to permit separate loyalties to splintered groups marching to tear us apart.
The only response to this is to make Aliyah. This is my plan and his been my desire for a long, long time. G-d willing next year in Jerusalem for me and my dog💪🇮🇱🐾
Some American Jews are going to start asking themselves, “When do we know when we have to go?”. Others will consciously avoid the growing miasma of hatred around them and disappear into the larger non-Jewish world. Others will recognize that the time to leave has already arrived or is not far away and act accordingly. The bottom line is that the American Jewish community is going to contract rapidly over the remainder of this century unless this atmosphere of simmering hatred subsides which frankly seems unlikely.
That does not necessarily mean that their sense of Jewish identity is weak. I have had two husbands, one non-Jewish and the father of my two sons, and the second a Jewish Yemeni Israeli. Whether with either one of them, or living alone, my Jewish identity is strong.
And many of us raise Jews who raise their children to love Israel and Judaism! I have 7 grandchildren… 3 live in Israel, 3 are celebrating loving being Jewish. My grand mother and 11 siblings escaped Europe or were holocaust survivors. My husband is not Jewish. Never give up in intermarried, we can raise wonderful Jewish children and grandchildren who love our history, our Judaism, and Israel, wherever we live. It’s about family and Jewish values!!! Am ideal chai! ! 💙🤍✡️🇮🇱💪🏻🙏🏻
It may indeed be most, but it won’t be all… I wish I could believe that the evil sweeping the world would somehow be overcome without reaching the level Biblical prophecies foretell, but I can’t. And, for that reason, I believe those who can, but don’t, make Aliyah will eventually realize they made a tragic mistake.
Josh you are 100% correct. This is not the time to panic. Here's a few more things we should do.
1) Wake-up call #1: Israel must start producing all of its own military products; no dependence on any other country. This will give it 100% choice over how to fight its wars, so that we can make Douglas Murray wrong for once: Israel will finally be allowed to win. Frankly, I cannot wait to hear the Military Industrial Complex moan and cry about the billions of dollars it no longer gets; and all those people on unemployment — but y’know America has to do what’s good for America.
2) Wake-up call #2: If Israel doesn’t rely on the U.S. for military products, it also doesn’t have to share intelligence. Sooner or later an Islamist terror attack will get through on U.S. soil . But America has to do . . .
3) Wake-up call #3 - Diaspora dollars:
* Every country with a significant Jewish population should have the equivalent of a Mossad -- people paid full-time salaries to infiltrate and protect all Jewish institutions: businesses, museums, schools, shuls, JCCs, everything.
* Heavy duty dollars can also go to PACs whose job it is to ensure Jews are treated fairly and to teach Jews -- college kids to grandmas -- how to react in various situations whether that be public harassment, social media, graffiti, AND how to act effectively re legislation, rallies, PR (billboards and ads).
*. Every Jewish child should be taught self-defense and as they get older, they should be taught how to use a firearm. Where legal, Jews should carry as soon as they are old enough and taught how and when to handle various situations -- the equivalent of a Jewish militia that garners respect and fear.
I'd also like to say that the Leftie rhetoric will dissipate with time. I lived through the 60s; I was on the younger side but the "progressive" messages of the day were on the news and discussed around every dinner table most nights. This too will pass as college kids grow older and the country heeds those wake-up calls.
Nothing stays the same, but I'm with you: let's be proactive!!!
I agree with virtually everything you have outlined Robin, except for your expectation that this vehement evil is going to dissipate. I disagree with that one point; it is going to get far, far worse before it ever gets better
I agree with your sentiment, but I think about the Progressive Jews, i.e., those with some power to propagandize like Peter Beinert, Progressive Rabbis, those groups who align with Palestine, and any cause that is anti-Western. The clowns like Tucker Carlson and other Woke Right imbeciles won't always have wind in their sails, but Progressive Jews are everywhere spewing their vitriol for Israel. I will always be a proud Jew and united with Jews who feel the same. Aside from the Progressive Jews, are the growing numbers of Islamists in Europe, the US, and anywhere they can infiltrate. They will become the Jew's (and Christians) much bigger problem. Yes, we can, and should be united, because we have a battle ahead of us and we must be ready.
Stop writing about when we have to go and who we have to apologize to and who we have to explain to. Every single one of us need to take our concealed weapons permit class . And learn to shoot as well as teach our lives and children. We need to be as prepared and as willing to protect ourselves our lives and our future, to the same degree as they are willing to destroy us. Perhaps it's time for never again to really mean never fucking again.
All good food for thought. But there is another side to this: what does Israel do if the Dems get power and defund and distance America from Israel or Vance becomes president ( not clear exactly how much separating he wants but clearly more than Rubio )? This raises many questions that no one really wants to think or talk about ( at least publicly) .
Exactly my point. Not likely any in Europe. Vance needs to be pressed on specifics. I imagine if he runs this will be fleshed out. I would ask him point blank how his views differ from Carlson
Antisemitism is a a shared possession of both the right and the left. Never again is an empty slogan. America is transforming its public culture toward toward third world level. Individualized escape routes are overloaded. Think about it.
G. Michael Hopf: "Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times." This reflects the cyclical nature of societal strength and weakness.
I have now been doing what you have described here, for many years now, reconnecting to my Jewish roots, culture and the country of Israel. PLEASE REMEMBER HOWEVER, that there is no contradiction or Conflict of Loyalties in the Diaspora between our loyalties to our home countries of our birth here in Europe or Canada or Australia or America, and our Loyalty to Israel, because all are (still) Liberal Free Democracies, and have given us many good years and lifestyles. This will continue. But Israel as our place of Safety and Refuge of last resort is now Non-negotiable. As the Extremes of Left and Right continue to make headway in these new and modern times here in The West, all Jews now need Israel.
But in reality, the best interest of the USA is in protecting Israel, not only strategically, but in terms of El's blessing. I firmly believe that as soon as the USA abandons Israel, El will abandon us to our own fate for tolerating and allowing evil to flourish around our children as it has.
That is absolutely true, and it is heartbreaking to see so many foolish Americans who have no idea what is truly at stake in their zeal to eliminate American support for Israel.
Joshua, you write: "On the Right, support may erode because Israel is increasingly viewed as someone else’s problem." Oh, but the Jew Haters are growing fast on the Right, too (as Mark Levin calls them, "The Woke Reich."). In fact, I've noticed the Jew Hate on the Left comes in the form of Israel Hate as an excuse that they don't actually hate Jews, but the haters on the Right are outright obvious, pure Jew Haters, no trying to hide that. They post all the old tropes and outrageous new hate slogans unabashedly. It's definitely not just about "someone else's problem." Not at all.
Republicans have overreacted to their neocon flops by not even supporting democratic governments such as the one in Ukraine and deferring to anti democratic jerks like Putin, Erdogan and the murderous leader of Saudi Arabia, all of which are virulent antisemites. Will the Republicans reverse course when Trump expires? Not counting on it. Democrats apparently don’t have even one leader who will call out the Palestinian nonsense for what it is, a call for theocratic rule where only Muslims are legitimate, where women are second class and elections are irregular at best or rigged. They don’t want to be seen as Islamophobic, but that is what they should be. And too many Jewish politicians are afraid to say why Israel is worth supporting. Are they just dupes or afraid to expose the Palestinian propaganda for what it is because they don’t want to lose in Michigan again? Maybe the Democrats will come their senses. Not counting on it.
America has abandoned God and, therefore, is turning against God’s nation Israel. The only solution is for ALL to turn to God and seek His great mercy.
Hi, Mike! Haven't seen you in comments in a while, but maybe I missed them. Anyway, yes, it does appear more and more that we are living in prophetic times, doesn't it? It is quite something to be alive and watching it all unfold.
Visit Israel as a volunteer! There are tons of opportunities. Sar El volunteers live on IDF logistics bases and do non-combat warehouse work. Charities like Livnot U’Lehibanot do rebuilding projects in war damaged areas. Do archaeology digging in Jerusalem for the Antiquities Authority. Help in rehabilitation hospitals.
If you’re in the US or Canada, the US charity Volunteers for Israel also packages volunteering with weekend touring all around Israel.
If you’re going solo or just doing Sar El, the ground zero gathering place for volunteers is the Maxim Hotel on the beach in Tel Aviv, specifically the lounge where there’s afternoon happy hour and breakfast free buffets. They also give volunteers a discount on booking (contact manager Said).

Given the Jewish intermarriage with Christians, agnostics, Hindus, atheists and so forth only the Orthodox of various persuasions will be left.
Most recent data show 70% of non-orthodox Jews marry a non Jew.

America is not the only country with money and other assets. Quite a few countries would be happy to get more involved with Israel.
New alliances will be made. Most definitely.
Exactly my point. Not likely any in Europe. Vance needs to be pressed on specifics. I imagine if he runs this will be fleshed out. I would ask him point blank how his views differ from Carlson
Like their new allies in the gulf? Soon SA… but, not Qatar. Their $$ is tainted because of what they support in the destruction of the west.
I believe Israel is already actively preparing for this inevitability.
Antisemitism is a a shared possession of both the right and the left. Never again is an empty slogan. America is transforming its public culture toward toward third world level. Individualized escape routes are overloaded. Think about it.
This applies also to Jews.

Unfortunately, this all seems to be true! When will humans smarten up ?

Ahh… the “Dual Loyalty” argument that Dershowitz wrote a book about in ~2003. The Case for Israel.
All too true.
But in reality, the best interest of the USA is in protecting Israel, not only strategically, but in terms of El's blessing. I firmly believe that as soon as the USA abandons Israel, El will abandon us to our own fate for tolerating and allowing evil to flourish around our children as it has.

It is indeed the only solution, but Bible prophecies make it clear that won’t happen.

An excellent article. I thank you for it.

Eh, meant hotel “lobby”, not “lounge” but can’t edit comments.
