The holiday of Rosh Hashanah is just around the corner. The head of the Jewish year, it is one of the most important days in our calendar.

What is the significance of Rosh Hashanah in Judaism, and how does it differ from other holidays?

In this video, Rabbi Moshe Bryski discusses and explains some of the most fundamental messages of the day. He explains why Judaism believes in beginnings, and why we should reframe our view of life as a spiral, rather than a circle. He discusses what the Shofar is all about, and why it’s so important to hear that soulful sound on Rosh Hashanah. By exploring the Hebrew roots of the words ‘repentance’, ‘prayer’ and ‘charity’, he uncovers the essence of each of these three main themes of the day.

He also shares a powerful story that took place one Rosh Hashanah, and the impact that it had on him.

Hear stories and insights about returning, praying, giving, leading, and listening to the sound of the Shofar:
