The UN Human Rights Council does regular reviews of member states' human rights records. The WHO led the global campaign to eradicate smallpox which was achieved by 1980. UNICEF has helped save the lives of over 90 million children since 1990 through various health and education initiatives. All that being said, the UN is in bad shape as an organization and is quite corrupt as well as plagued by antisemitism and a clear bias against Israel that it has had since Israel was born in 1948.
