I fear that unless we get tough on not only terrorism, but its supporters, terrorism will continue to flourish. I have an 'ultimate peace plan' proposal coming out a week from now, and in that much of it will copy the same 'de-Nazification' that worked so well in the Marshall Plan and got Germany back on its feet.
In this case, the issue at stake is 'de-Jihadism', an absolute clamp down on terrorism, jihadic beliefs, and their suporters. Of course, we can't take out the likes of Jonathan Cook and Asa Winstanley and hang them, as we did with Lord Haw-Haw after WW2, but some tougher sentences would certainly help. 3-5 years for supporting or instigating terrorism would not seem unreasonable.
Free speech advocated will scream blue murder, but I think what needs to be looked at is how many lives are lost by the 'encouragement of terrorism'. Hamas and their supporters would probably never have dreamt of October 7th if the didn't think they had ready support both in the Arab World and the West. The reprisal they KNEW was going to happen... and could have ended things on week one and saved so many lives, just chose not to. Therefore, there is a strong rationale that the articles of Jonathan Cook et al have led to the loss of so many Palestinian leaves through their encouragement of terrorism.
If we had not taken the same tough line with Nazism after WW2, it would have sprung up again and flourished. Thankfully, now it's just a fringe group of lunatics.

I can’t see harsh sentences being handed out to Ivy League students. Is America truly aware that its administration are acting exactly like the Nazis is pre war Germany? I struggle to believe everyday Americans support jihadists over Jews.

One major problem that the Trump administration is working to solve is the overwhelming bias in federal agencies. For example, it was reported that something like 89% of workers in the state department are Democrats. Other agencies aren't quite as bad, but they are well over 50% Democrat.
Remember the State Department's anti-Israel walkouts (with no repercussions, of course) under Biden?
Over a few decades, most of our government agencies have been taken over by activists on the left, who see their mission as not serving all Americans, but furthering, to the extent possible, their DEI-indoctrinated ideology.
