This is an absolutely brilliant and powerful essay. So terribly important to remember the Holocaust and all who participated in the exploitation and murder of the Jews. We are truly blessed by God to have the State of Israel and the IDF.

When my mother passed away she had been receiving $500 a month from the german government as a pension for « her work ». She spent a year in Auschwitz and not willingly. She had died mid month and they were claiming a refund. The letter I wrote is not for delicate ears!

mireille watson's avatar

I think I tore it up I was so angry, but I get them chapter and verse about the status of their pension for work. She passed away at 98 and only claimed when she was in her 70s. She was French and deported from Lyon

I am not sure why Israel has chosen this German company to manufacture their ( Israeli ) product. Surely there are other manufacturing companies that could do the job. And your information about a refund only re - inforces my thinking. Is it a sort of reverse apology, sort of we forgive you for what your company did and we will reward you by giving you our business. Sort of " see how nice we are, even though you used Jewish people to support your efforts to the Nazi regime, we choose to help your company." Is there a further plea for please please help us in our hour of need. Exactly the opposite of what Israel could do, which is we are strong, a good people and we reward those who support us. Thank you for your post.

Oh, I would love to see that letter. Whatever you wrote, they deserved it.

This article was brilliant! I see it as divine justice!

Yes, the irony is exquisite. The Germans will now be working to help protect the Jewish state.

It is an irony, isn't it . It is kind of satisfying, for lack of better term. Even more satisfying is the fact

that it is sound business decision of the mature and still fast growing company, one of the leaders in defense industry, that found itself short of capacity to fulfill rapidly expanding orders for its products . Many companies tripped on this particular issue of too small capacity to produce.

VW is probably desperate to sell its production capacity but If Rafael gets even better deal from VW because of infamous events of the past, so much the better .

Regarding the modern day Germans, the generation that perpetrated those abominations during the Third Reich is dead and gone. Yes, it is VERY important to remember the Shoah but how do these present Germans bear any responsibility for what their ancestors did? I compare this to the endless modern condemnation in America of the Confederate States of America (CSA) for the war from 160 years ago. Does that mean that modern Southerners should endlessly be pilloried for what their distant ancestors did? There comes a point where HISTORY is what it is whether good or bad.

I wish I could agree, Mr Baker, but The Re-formation of The Nazi Party has been monitored meeting in Europe in and from 2013 onwards, with support from Neo-Nazi Elements of The German State. This is the bald truth, sadly. Our monitoring is verified and with the Authorities both here and in America.

I'm very aware of the Neo-Nazis in Germany but they are a fringe group composed mostly of younger Germans. Yes, considering Germany's Nazi past they are a concern but my personal belief is that they are not a real worry in modern Deutschland. Of course the real problem is the unfettered immigration of Moslems who do not wish to become Germans and are the rape gangs which are a problem all over Europe. For my money Islam is the greatest threat.

I agree with you about the dangers of the Muslim Demographic in The West. The Nazi Element in the State attempts to infiltrate and attack the top of the societies they threaten, as the route the Nazi psychopaths take to attempt murder once again. This is what we have found. Very different to the way Islamists operate, but just as dangerous.

The AfD, Germany's only political party on the Right just came out against Israel and America finally attacking Iran after Iran had declared war on our two countries 47 years ago.

Trump is just now talking about removing all American military from Germany. I'm think I'm good with that.

The AfD now wants US military out of Germany

Having lived in Germany, I don't trust Germans. Except to screw things up.

The entire German automotive industry is on its deathbed. China is beavering away to displace Mercedez, BMW, Porsche and the entire VW product range. EU is blundering into the elephant trap.

Yes absolutely. Part of me says good business deal, the other part says keep a long memory and not grant access to your technology to them. Tough call.

When all those sad fools were having a public nervous breakdown about the "Nazi" who owned Tesla (seems like a lifetime ago, doesn't it?), I made sure to tell my Dem friends: "If you think Tesla's bad, wait till you hear about Volkswagen!"

But they weren're interested in actual Nazis, just the ones their tribe had conjured up as its Satan du jour.

(And then I put on my Hugo Boss suit...lol)

History is hilarious: who would have guessed that the Germans would defend Jews and the Ivy League would become the next global power to declare that they need to be eradicated?

And that same continent will take everything they can get from the Jews, and still herd us into cattle cars and ovens if they think they can get away with it.

Look at what’s being said about us and done to us in europe right now, and never forget or forgive it.

Terrific realistic article. Should be compulsory reading for every so-called "independent journalist" and the hierarchy of the BBC and Australia's ABC dominating our public media with anti-Israel bigotry.
