I have always said that 'cease fire' in Arabic mean 're-arm'.

I think that too. A realistic bummer 😕

Joshua, I’ve learned one rule when it comes to Trump: never judge the play before the final act. Time and again he stretches negotiations, creates uncertainty, lets everyone speculate — and then acts when people least expect it. Until the curtain falls, it’s usually too early to declare victory or defeat.

There’s some very real wisdom here. Thank you! Over the past five years—and in a more concentrated way the past four months—I’ve been practicing with Rabbi Dr. Zvi Ish-Shalom, who has brought ancient kabbalistic wisdom into our present time in ways that continue to astound me, and to carry me into deep quiet where I experience what he recently termed as cosmic co-regulation. This does not render me ignorant of what’s happening in the world, but it does indeed quell my reactivity to it. Sitting inside this utterly spacious perspective, giving my attention to the Love that created us and sustains us, urges me toward trust. And my own neurology thanks me!

When I was learning to ride a motorcycle, I learned something valuable to all of life: Where our attention goes is where we will go. If a truck stops dead in front of me, and I’m focused on his bumper, I’m likely to hit that bumper. But if I’m focused on the spaces around me, my focus can avoid a crash. Training my attention has been the smartest thing I’ve done in this lifetime.

By all means let's use the Kabbalah-

Trump's pattern of pausing U.S. pressure on Israel's enemies — the Houthi ceasefire without telling Israel, the Hamas hostage deal with no commitment on Israeli captives, the Syria sanctions lifted over Netanyahu's objections — isn't just bad diplomacy. It's Tzimtzum without Tikkun. When the protective light withdraws before the vessels are secured, the Kabbalists knew exactly what happens: the vacant space doesn't stay vacant. Hamas won't disarm. Hezbollah won't stand down. Darkness fills what light abandons. The Ari taught that contraction without repair doesn't create space for blessing — it creates space for Shevirat HaKelim, the shattering. We're watching that shattering in real time.

In my AlAnon practice, pause is an acronym for Postpone Action Until Serenity Enters.

The problem with "Anything presented in the media—any so-called 'leak' or 'insider'—is rarely a true leak. It is narrative control." is that all of this shapes the so-called "public perception" and how and to what and whom the supposedly "informed" voter will cast their ballot.

It´s a ridiculous extremely, fundamentally and completely unearnest circus but nevertheless gets called the foundation of a supposedly "free society" which means that "democracy" has no basis whatsoever, and the state of these "democracies" reflects this.

Spot on. Another reason to love the Kabbalah. Thx for this wonderful lesson and reminder.

It’s not over until it’s over. By now, Trump’s book “The Art of the Deal” should be required reading and a bestseller.

What you write here should be obvious to anyone with reasonable intelligence. There is no other rational way to observe this complex multinational moment.

How do you say “the pause” in Hebrew?

Less spouting off about the partially prepared product will be useful

This is so interesting, because in a recent conversation with a group of friends about the war, when they were mostly condemning it altogether, I stated that I was withholding judgement “until the dust settles.” One response was “the dust will never settle” but what I meant was that I felt it was just too soon to tell. I’ve never studied Kabbalah, but sometimes I discover that there’s more Jewishness in my soul than I realize. Thank you for uncovering another glimmer.
