Well written. I am so ashamed of the British government. Starmer and Lammy are a disgrace.

To hook up with Canada and France and lecture Israel what it should and shouldn't do is laughable. Israel is a sovereign state - they have no right at all to come out with their ridiculous comments.

The outcome of cause is to allow Pally nutjobs to kill Israelis. They have blood on their hands

As a Canadian, I am deeply disgusted with the so-called Liberal Government. There is blatant pandering to Canadian Muslim voters, and a push to import thousands of Gazans to increase the Muslim lobby. Is this what Canadian soldiers fought and died for two world wars and Afghanistan. Now the worst of Islamic practices of Afghanistan has been invited into Canada and are given special "protected" status by the government. What a disgrace.

Typical of the Left. Arrogate onto themselves something (tax money, land, narrative) that is not theirs. Then, in a grand show of benevolence and virtue signaling, give it to someone else who did not earn it. The Arabs in Gaza and Judea/Samaria have done nothing to earn a country of their own. But the political leaders of the West know this; yet, they proceed in this direction anyway. Democratic countries get the leaders they deserve. Until one day they find that they are no longer democratic. Votes matter. Even votes in support of the devil.

What is so amazing, that none of these leftist, brainwashed global leaders want to visit Israel, Gaza, Judea and Samaria, or to take a clear look at the real numbers.

It is scary that the brainwashing hate that fuels people to murder will continue, as that is part of the plan to keep the focus away from what is really going on in Europe, Australia, Canada, and the US - we are in the next phase of Muslim global takeover, long time in the works: create Muslim-majority cities and towns established with legalized shariah law through revamping of the egalitarian local laws and brainwashing of the non Muslim population ( just look at what is happening right here in the US with Patterson, NJ. as well as in Texas and Minnesota). Of course globally, the same is going on in the European nations. Plus, very little chatter and protests enable from the left on the real Christian genocides happening in African nations by Muslim groups.

That is exactly right. Much of the language employed by media outlets and policymakers is not merely imprecise—it is either deliberately crafted or carelessly used in ways that inflame resentment. As you aptly observe, this is a war between Israel and Gaza, not a war against Hamas. Framed in such terms—once the dominant lens through which war was viewed—conflict is a confrontation between collective entities rather than a struggle involving isolated individuals or political elites. This mode of collective framing fosters a form of moral identification in which pride, shame, and responsibility are ascribed through affiliation rather than through direct personal agency.

Another terminological sleight of hand concerns the distinction between civilians and combatants. This binary, as defined in international humanitarian law, fits poorly here. Hamas fighters do not constitute a recognized armed force, nor do they meet the Geneva Conventions' criteria such as bearing visible insignia, carrying arms openly, and adhering to the laws of war. Israel is not confronting a simple combatant–civilian divide, but rather a distinction between civilians who may lawfully be targeted and those who may not. Under the legal framework, civilians "directly participating in hostilities" can be intentionally targeted without violating international law.

No nation that aided and abetted the Nazi Holocaust has the moral ability to lecture Israel about Cho’s to wage a war of self defense

Nachum, I agree with everything you say, and am equally horrified at what is happening, but to use a non-Jewish expression, you are “preaching to the choir”. The people who are reading this are likely already convinced of what you write. You shore up our indignation, and inspire us to work harder at holding our leaders accountable, but I despair of politicians ever being truly swayed. Our small numbers do not pose enough of a threat to their being re-elected. I am stumped about how to improve the future of my grandchildren, but continue to work toward their being resilient, committed and proud Jews. I continue to support my Temple community. I pray. I have honest conversations with my non-Jewish friends and family. The question is, what else should we be doing?

The European leaders have been shown to be completely incompetent as Russia marched across Ukraine and only less than mediocre performance by the Russian army hampered Russian efforts. Ukraine gets a lot of credit too. But not because Europe has shown any strength or backbone.

The Trump administration( and the rest of the world) took notice that Western Europe especially suffers from less than capable governments. Leaders who ponder to Islam, welcome illegal migration and left woke globalist ideology while the majority in these countries reject it all.

Eastern Europe has completely different priorities than western and it’s mostly about the inevitable Russian invasion. The eastern countries don’t suffer from Islamic migrants overtake and not as nearly as left leaning as Western European countries. They prioritize their own interests and survival, which makes perfect sense.

Western European countries, after “successful war with Putin”, which has turned out to be a complete disaster, are looking for more wars to fight and decided that the next hill they would die on is “free Palestine”

So there have evolved 2 Europes- one that is preparing to fighting Putin and the other that, after a “successful crusade against global warming” are looking for new wars to fight and waist resources on.

In a shell, actually fighting the Russian invasion is scary and deadly but fighting verbally Israel is safe and makes them look good, even while repeating Hamas talking points.

So there is a chasm between east and west and I’m not sure what’s the future for the EU.

As a joke, this week I challenged my friends to name the president of the European Union and the foreign minister (or whatever they call them). No one knew… Europe is not doing well.

I couldn't agree more with what you've written. These Western leaders who live in a moral wasteland do not get a pass on ignorance. The only ones who might would be their young, Woke, sheep, who have little knowledge of our history and most history. The BBC and UN announced that 18,000 chidren would die if aid did not get to them, and then had to retract that lie, but it was too late. The lie made its way around the world and the haters didn't let go of it. This happened shortly before the announcement by Starmer, Carney, and Macron. The problem is countries like Canada, France, and England, to name a few, are intimidated by a population that wants to destroy the west. These country's leaders are weak, cowardly, and fearful, so they must appease this population, while the native born citizens pay the price. Citizens in every country must have their voices heard first, and then vote these people out. If not, Western countries will be in for a dangerous and bumpy ride.

"Powerful politicians across the West are "fighting" antisemitism with one hand, while feeding it with the other. Sadly, they don't seem to understand the link, and it is now costing lives." --- Oh, they understand the link perfectly well.

I believe that the author hit all of the right buttons. However, his “glossing over” the fact that these politicians are pandering for the Muslim vote is more worthy than a passing comment. It is the crux of much of the issue. Now that Islamists are invading and conquering much of Europe, these fools think that their condemnation of Israel will get their vote. Trying to save their own political necks.

What’s fascinating is how short sided their are. The Islamists play a long game while these schmucks are worried about the next election. What these fools do not understand is that within the decade, all of these countries will be under Sharia law and that the leftist politicians, the ones that let this invasion and conquering occur, will be the 1st ones put to death. That’s the irony of “Queers for Palestine”.

The voters may soon realize that these radical Islamists are a real threat to their countries as well.

"The United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and France have more in common than just a huge antisemitism problem and terrified Jewish communities. They also have leftist leaders, ..." The U.S. does not have a leftist leader. Ours is, however, completely unreliable as sociopathic narcissists usually are.

I read something very interesting in the Comment section in a different Future of Jewish recently. The person hypothesized that while Europe feels guilt because of the Holocaust, they're still anti-semitic -- so they imported anti-semites to do and say what is no longer considered cool or woke or politically correct, or socially acceptable. Interesting idea.

Not mentioned anywhere is the role of Israel's Jewish antisemites. So desirous of being loved by Norway and Ireland and the EU. Yair Galon should hang his head in shame for his blood libel Poisonous. B'tselem should resolve to stop racist antisemitism from its ranks, And call out Palestinian racist hate of Jews. Israel's universities should stop teaching racist anti Zionist Palestine narrative. The fact that Israel's youth have responded brilliantly and has paid the price with lives cut short.....they are a miracle given the Ha aretz and Hebrew U anti Zionist rhetoric and propaganda. SHAME. I'm losing hope for any Jewish life in the Diaspora outside of the USA.

Caring for what the British and the French think about Jews and Israel is a losing proposition. Britain’s capitulation to Hitler in 1938 and their anemic declaration of war in 1939 helped Hitler in conquering all of Europe. The French took upon themselves to round up Jews and deliver them the the Nazis without even being forced to. Israel should realize who they are dealing with and tell them to fuck off and mind their own business. Declaring Palestine as a state will just force Israel to take on another sovereign state. The long list of states that they have defeated includes Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, and (on deck) Iran. Palestine will just be next.

I wonder what would happen if Israel suddenly realized that the way that they are waging the war is not getting them any sympathy in the Jew-hating leftist West. Why don’t they simply take off the gloves, fight the war the way the Americans would, and crush Hamas regardless of the civilian cost. They would save Israeli lives by concluding the war sooner. And it wouldn’t hurt their international reputation since it is being unfairly smeared now.

It’s so sad that these figures on power positions are the less suitable to it. In the “best” cases they are mediocrely talented and competent. How many are quoted in because claimed under representation?

They are brainwashed ideological zombies, in fact just idiots.

Just listen to whichever speech from whoever indoctrinated politician.

Word salads and parroting same substanceless crap over and over. Wasn’t democracy supposed to be power to the people? It’s not the case, but manipulating politicians just force whatever crap over us. And we can do absolutely nothing about before enough numbers of people decide to take no more.

It can’t be cured with voting for parties or persons. Politicians, especially socialists/commies deeply hate free people,it’s a threat to their privileges .

They don’t give a damn about people except as voters.

How the hell these morons can take part with criminals like Hamas and a criminal ideology like islam is perhaps not so strange. Criminal minded people find each other like drunkards on park benches.
