This is a going to be a multi-generational war between civilization and 7th century barbarism, and Israel is on the front lines right now, alone. I wish the West would wake up to the very real threat that Islamism poses. (It's not a "phobia" if the fear is rational.)

It's baffling, but looking at reality as it is, and realizing untold millions of people actually respond positively to Pharma commercials tells me this really is the end time and people really are just up to their eyeballs in lunacy.

In the case of Jew Hate, suicidal lunacy.

As I read this I can hear my late mother, of blessed memory, telling me why she never had any intention of visiting Europe. We had this conversation in the 1970s when international travel was becoming more affordable and European tours were all the "rage". She and my Dad travelled, but only to the Caribbean and other places as far away from Europe as possible. She was a young woman in Canada during World War 2 who heard the rumors about European Jews being massacred and saw the wretched news reels of Allied troops liberating the concentration camps. She knew Holocaust survivors and pitied them – especially the ones who arrogantly considered themselves “European” as they were marched onto the trains to the camps. A student of history, she considered all European countries "whores" whose people were ignorant, arrogant and immoral, with idiotic monarchs who were constantly waging war. "Jews," she said, "were never well treated in Europe. It was only a matter of time before they decided to do away with us completely and none of them objected to Hitler's Final Solution."

If Mom was alive today she would not be surprised that Europe is overrun with Islamists and Marxists. She'd probably say they are getting what they deserve. They were too stupid and weak to stand up to Hitler when there was still time to do it. After the WW2 years, they did not value their cultures and people enough to resist the lure of cheap labor from the hordes of Islamic immigrants who came to work and live on their shores. And wherever there is a large “underclass” of people, Marxists are close by to aid and abet their terrorism and other acts of “revolution”.

If Mom had lived to witness the skyrocketing anti-Semitism across the Western world she'd be revolted, as most of us are. And I like to think she’d be proud of me for devoting time and resources to fighting it and supporting our precious Israel. “Just make sure you don’t lift a finger to help Europe!” she would add!

Your truth hurts. Since the Conservative government was replaced, I and many of us live in fear. We can’t believe what is happening. This Country has always stood with Israel. It is anathema what they are doing. They are building a case for Islam. It is nonsensical policy but so many moronic people don’t see it. I have always loved Israel and the Jewish people, I refuse to bow down to toeing the line and I know there are huge numbers in Britain that feel the same. Israel please stay on course, hold out. I know you will fight, if necessary, alone and you will succeed!! You have my prayers always.

"And those who dare to criticize Muslim extremists and speak up for true liberal values are systematically slandered as fascist bigots."

It's much worse than that. In the U.K. they are being prosecuted and imprisoned.

I find it so interesting that people hate fundamental Christians and can bash them but Islam is something no one can question. Double standards and total hypocrites. If people want sharia law go live in one of the 50 plus countries where they can live that life .

Europe has been taken over by Moslems solely due to the policies of open borders which allows Moslems to immigrate but not to assimilate into European culture

Islam is hellbent on forcing the world to sub-come to their barbaric religion. They have no interest in assimilating or being part of a 1st world society. We must stop their global agenda before it’s too late…Europe is quickly running out of time

I think Europe lost its soul. The Muslim immigrants coming to Europe should have been trying to assimilate into European culture-it should have seemed superior to their native cultures- especially from the outside. It’s a much higher standard of living. But the Europe these Muslims immigrated to is a Europe consumed with self -hatred. Muslim immigrants respond to that and attempt to cash in on the benefits of being European while imposing their culture on others.

I’ve been saying that it’s déjà vu for years now—just like the late 20s—30s of Europe. The extreme left and right feuding with each other, spreading hatred, polarising society. Those who believe in reasonable and measured democracy and its values pilloried and ignored by both extremes. Ordinary people feeling that they are ignored become vulnerable to extremism on the right as a reaction to extremism on the left.

And the refusal to see those who wish to destroy—in our time, the Qatari and Iranian—and the Saudi— regimes. How they must be gloating. And projecting the ills upon Israel and Jewish people everywhere.

And not just Europe, the USA, Canada, New Zealand and my Australia.

Universities have accepted the chalice of poison in gifts from the Saudis and Qataris.

One point: we cannot ignore the fundamental role and influence of the Saudi regime—for decades our leaders have been cosying up to it, notably our conservative leaders because of $$$.

I’d like to know to what extent Qatar and Saudi Arabia are in cahoots.

I am very afraid

Saudi Arabia and Qatar are not in cahoots. The Saudis have a sordid history but at this point they stand with Israel and the West against the Mullahs. Qatar stands with the Mullahs. The United States under Democratic administrations refuses to see the Mullahs as an intractable enemy and thinks it can solve everything with "deals." It's terrible. Fruits of Obama.

Their relationship doesn’t mean they are not playing the same game. Blaming the Democrats for everything doesn’t help. What about the shady deals with the Saudis of the former Republican president/his family members. And the cosying up/deals with the Saudis was indulged in by many Republican governments. Saudi Arabia and Qatar have the same agenda: they have a sibling rivalry certainly but both have Sunni extremist regimes which support terrorism.

The Saudi regime of 2024 under MBS is not the Saudi regime of his father that aided and abetted the 9/11 hijackers and Wahabbi terrorism the world over.

At great risk to his personal safety and legitimacy of his regime, MBS has imprisoned radical clerics and changed the curriculum in Saudi schools to a far more moderate point of view.

The Qataris on the other hand, are trying to have it both ways. Enjoying the largesse of Western partnership and investment while actively funding and encouraging its enemies.

Just an excellent, detailed essay, but with one flaw.

You are too generous in appraising the opposition.

Multi Culturalism as executed is not in fact nobly intended. It's purpose in the context of Marxist Oppression is to produce exactly this strife and division and oppression of Jews and those Western European descent.

Similarly, it isn't really true that Fakestinians have a point.

In as much as their own Koran tells them explicitly in Sura 5, Israel belongs to the Jews because God gave it to them.

They all absolutely know this, you can scarcely get started reading Koran without seeing it.

Thus, they are utterly without justification for any of it and without doubt, ultimately, they cannot stay.

Not that there is any reason that they should stay...

Beyond the insane appeasement of radical Islamists, what is happening in Europe is almost unimaginable. Ostensibly free and Democratic countries are completely and entirely ignoring the wishes and interests of their own citizens. Liberal government however it is specifically organized is predicated on the basic idea that the government must be responsive to the wishes of the majority of its electorate. Huge majorities want this deranged importation of radical anti-Western Muslim peoples stopped. They are ignored. This is what is leading to civil unrest and the election of allegedly "far right" parties. Ultimately it will destroy the liberal society when people recognize their only choice is capitulation to Islam or overthrowing the system that is forstering it. It's inevitable. Dark times.

As I have stated previously:”Throughout the history of the Jewish people and upon the formation of the state of Israel, its destruction and the murder of Jews by its enemies has never ceased and never will, until all the Jews are murdered. The enemies of Israel and Jews everywhere have told them so. They will never release the hostages alive, even if their absurd demands are met. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Plan accordingly. Act accordingly.

"Europe" is at most a confederation, there is no central government to instruct the participating nations what to do.

The European Commission mostly executes what the European council of heads of government decide on a limited number of issues.

That means the situation per country differs widely concerning the assimilation of its muslim citizens. For instance, illiberal Hungary is very tough on immigration .

Easy, because immigrants prefer the wealthier North, including mrs. Braverman's UK- whose Conservative party didn't do an impressive job on immigration for 14 long years by the way.

Germany has a lot of immigration related problems thanks to its conservative Bundeskanzler mrs.Merkel's 'Wir schaffen das' , stretching the countries absorptive capacities to its limits.

Social Democratic Denmark on the other hand demands its immigrants to assimilate in a draconian way and maintains its laws severely.

On the whole, to my observation Europeans do not meekly surrender to muslim ideology - the political center holds notwithstanding populist party pressure and the small band of islamist and ultra - left agitation. It adjusts, slowly, as it always did.

How far will it go before Europe wakes up to the fact that radical Islam will destroy their way of life, will take over their culture and literally turn democracies into Sharia Law theocracies? I dare say, perhaps a major 9/11 - Oct 7th like event is necessary for the alarm clock to go off. For them to finally put a stop on Muslim immigration until they can discern a Muslim from an Islamist. I dislike when we are not direct so to be clear, IMHO immigration is not the problem but Muslim immigration is the problem. Maybe they will never wake up until it is too late? And North American is no different, perhaps a decade or less behind. Right now, things look pretty bad, appeasement is everywhere, and it seems Israel is more and more alone with each day that passes. For me the big event is the Nov election in the States. If Harris gets in, the US will become more and more like Europe. papa j

Opposing Muslim immigration (even they’re arriving illegally) can get you labeled a racist.

You might very well be right but I have never been one to follow the herd. I can only say that I am not a racist but I am a realist to what is going on all over the world. When they can discern between a Muslim and an Islamist, then I am open to Muslim immigration. I have 3 Muslim friends and they are the sweetest people but with billions of Muslims in the world, even if 5% are Islamists, we are talking about 100's of million of Islamists that want to destroy our way of life. All the best to you. papa j
