The World is going through another historic convulsion right now that will see borders and allegiances redrawn from Russia to China to Africa and the Middle East. And, as always, Jews get blamed for all of it, (which is simply INSANE). History shows us that Jews are the "canaries in the coal mine;" revealing a society's moral rot and, indeed, big trouble ahead for the civilizations that embrace Jew Hate (it ALWAYS begins with Jew Hate). The last time Jew Hate was at such an astonishing rates around the world was in the late 1930's--just as Hitler was rising. The world is following the exact same patterns as back then: Starting in the universities and spreading fast and furious into cultural institutions, educational institutions (even our public schools teachers' unions). A major "tipping point" into shocking Jew Hate and societal collapse in America could come at any time. For instance, imagine if Erika Kirk decides to make an announcement that she believes Jews killed her husband, Charlie Kirk, something the conspiracy theory Jew Haters are insisting is the "truth." THAT alone could be the tipping point and the beginning of a shockingly dark time in America and the world's history. Thank God Jews have Israel to flee to this time (and they are doing just that from places that have become intolerable-- like England, Australia, South Africa, France, parts of Canada and more). I do not think the moral rot exposed in America can be turned around quickly enough because, along with astonishing educational decline across the board, the decline has reached precipitous levels and is unsustainable for a healthy economy and society. The brilliant Thomas Sowell predicted this over 30 years ago, and here we are. Every single country that mistreated, expelled or slaughtered their Jews in history has collapsed; every single one. I expect to see more Jews emigrating from America to Israel when that tipping point comes, even the "as a Jew" Jews who will discover that they, too, are targeted and their idiotic anti-Zionism won't endear them to the haters or save them. A nagging question I have is how do we stop the damage being done by the “as a Jews” and the loud contingent of Leftist/progressive Jews and Jewish organizations who side with the Mamdani’s of the world and then are held up as representing all of the rest of us? While none of us would claim that Israel is without fault or that it has none of its own extremists, the Christian Bible’s famous quote, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone,” urges us to acknowledge that this war for the continued existence of Israel, like all wars, exacts a terrible toll on all parties. Any essay which defends Israel because it is the only Jewish state is an apologia for, among other war crimes, rape of detainees. Notice that the leak of video of the crime is being prosecuted with far more vigor that the crime itself.

I have issues with current Israeli policy, because it’s mistaken and in some cases criminal. I’ve lived in Israel for a temporary job, and the country could do so much better if it rejected messianic plans for ethnic cleansing.

Also the West Bank, where it has been policy since before October 7. In Israel it goes by the euphemism “transfer”. The settler movement is somewhat divided about whether to allow some urban Bantustans in Nablus, Ramallah, and Gaza City, but united in driving rural Arabs off their farms and orchards.

I usually don't say "genocide", because most people think of the ordinary English meaning of complete extermination (not applicable here) and not the more expansive definition in international law (which many observers, including some Israelis, think applies to Gaza). I usually bring attention to what are obvious war crimes, such as torture and rape of detainees, which aren't subject to good-faith dispute.
As to when this happened, I am not really sure. The initial response to October 7 was justified. Some time in 2024, maybe only after Trump's victory, the right-wing government saw an opportunity to confine/expel Palestinians, destroy Gaza as a place Palestinians could live, and resettle with Jews.
