I think this is a great article. The one piece that’s missing is the educational system in the U.S. that has been teaching our youth to hate America - and by extension - hate Israel. CAIR and other organizations like it have been very busy pushing their “anti—Zionist” (antisemitic) agenda over the last several decades from kindergarten to graduate school while ADL and other Jewish organizations have completely ignored this phenomenon or underestimated the significance it would have. I still don’t think today they are willing to call this out for fear of being labeled “Islamophobic.” American Jews need to learn what Israelis have known for years - that if we don’t openly fight those opposed to our existence - we will not be allowed to exist for much longer.

I think a lot of New Yorkers do not care about Israel. They are fine to ignore Mamdani’s antisemitism. Their concern as the economy. They are recent inhabitants, moving to the city with the hope of wealth and work. They come with huge student debt and find that the city is expensive. The jobs are not so well paying. Many are supported by families who don’t want to continue subsidizing them. They are angry. They feel that they worked hard at these fancy schools and were promised a future that isn’t there.

New York had already dropped from 30% Jewish to 12% as these new college grads take the place of the old immigrant families. New York hasn’t been affordable for a long time.

The damage that Mamdani will create is blaming Jews for their problems.
