Unfortunately, many "pro-Palestinians" are disingenuous, spiteful, Jew-loathing hypocrites who pretend to give a damn about "the people of Palestine." It's about time they get exposed.
Dang you were on fire today in this one, Josh! It’s so helpful as a recovering Western progressive to get your blend of facts and big-picture analysis.
One habit of the Israel haters I’ve noticed is that they rarely have a “big-picture” mindset: they always look at just Israel and Palestine in a vacuum. Since Israel is more powerful than Hamas and Palestinian children, and the only other part of the world to exist is the equally evil America, apparently, it’s easy to see Israel as an imperial, colonial, money-hungry menace who they genuinely believe are “ethnically cleansing” Palestinians in order to…expand settlements. It’s all a big conspiracy over land, and they’ve been waiting to be attacked for 18 years in order to enact it. Iran, Hezbollah, Houthis, Muslim Brotherhood, Islamism, jihadism, the Hamas charter…they never bring up any of these things and I don’t think most of them think or know about them. How bizarre.
yes and yes; how the world can process this information and reach its current conclusion is baffling to me. Either they have been brainwashed politically or Qatari $$ has proven more effective than originally thought. Who knew (after WWII) that Europe would fail (and from the inside too); that the demise of the West would occur during my lifetime and that we would return to the Dark Ages ...
Thank you Joshua for this intelligent breakdown of why we have to be on the alert to the fraud and hysteria behind the "I'm all for the Palestinians." I heard an interview on NPR today, April 10, with Marco Werman and a Palestinian politician. While I didn't catch much of it, the one part I did catch was his demand that ALL of the Palestinian "hostages"/prisoners, be released and Israel pull out of "occupied Gaza". All of this while barely mentioning the real hostages held by Hamas.
Love this one: Yes, Hamas IS responsible for any and all of the suffering. AND, btw, these "innocent" Palestinians voted them in (as did the German population with the Nazis), and for the most part celebrate all that Hamas does, if I understand correctly. Everyone always says that the death of these innocents is a tragedy. To be honest, I don't entirely feel a sense of tragic concern. It's more liked, I feel a sense of sadness for the human condition, which often is a tragic tale because of our inherent barbarism -- at times, in some cases.
Even simpler. Some pro-palestine (i.e. Arab Muslims living in the Occupied Territories) people could not give two sh*** about Arab Muslims. They simply yearn for the glorious revolution to destroy the existing, hegemonic, western, Judeo-Christian, culture that blocks revolutionary utopia that calls to them.
The problem is this - it is Satan who is calling to them, not the imagined utopia.
Yet another masterpiece, Joshua. Well done and so true. This must be shouted from the rooftops. Sadly, too many refuse to hear.
🙏🙏
True, many a pro-Palestinian is an anti-semetic in disguise (if they even bother to mask themselves).
But it would really help if there was a plan by genuine pro-Palestinians to reach out to the non-Jewish population of the territory.
Like it or not, the annihilation of Hamas will make Israel the owner of the Palestinian problem.
Israel was the owner before Hamas and it will be the owner after it.
And antisemitic is merely Jew hatred in psuedo intellectual disguise. Call a spade a spade. Kahane chai!

Very bizarre! And glad you enjoyed this essay!

Thank you for yet another great piece of writing, every point you make is factual and true.
