The insect chorus is almost deafening, but apologizing for telling the truth will not quiet them. I hope you are vindicated, and sooner than later.

You write that you have been cancelled for saying those who stand with Hamas stand with The Nazis. Well, if you need proof of the TRUTH of your words, then I can provide just that. HAMAS has been monitored in Alliance with The Re-formed Nazi Party here in London from 2013. We have monitored and Reported the Re-formation of The Nazi Party and their Alliance with Hamas from 2013 and meetings held in the Summer of 2014. Our Reports have also been forwarded to the Authorities here in The UK, along with much else about The Neo-Nazis re-forming The Nazi Party and meeting internationally here in London. If you need help substantiating your claim 'Those who stand with Hamas stand with The Nazis' I am certainly able to help you. Solidarity and Am Chai!

The main content of your Comment above would be a great meme!!! Or a quote that could go viral? But at a minimal, would it be okay to quote your Comment? Or at least the main body of it for example from "... cancelled for saying (all the way through to: ) internationally here in London."? For example. Or the whole?

Is there an online source for the organization(s) that have shown the connection since 2013/2014? A link? A website?

If your lawyers are advising you to apologize I would retain new lawyers. I don’t know Canada laws but here in the US if you lose your livelihood based on defamation you can win millions. Look up the case involving the Gibson bakery accused of racism by Oberlin students.

Tell me more seriously

The bakery was a family owned company for years, always served the college community. They were canceled and would have lost their business had they never sued and won many millions. Lots of articles on Google. Show your new lawyer.

I’m just not apologizing. The US is a much better packaged country, we have crap property rights, no freedom for expression. And we elect influencers.

Come to the US. Our borders are open. 😉

Go for it. My ma and sis are in Boca Raton. DeSantis is the best governor in the US. We would move there but we don’t get along with hot weather year round.

I would say you are correct, which would be true if he was in the US, but who knows what can happen in Canada. It is not a free or just country now.

Bingo. Big prize for you. But it’s a shitty prize.

Find a Jewish org that deals with this bs.

I would not apologize. This institution’s leaders are disgraceful and you are its beacon of hope. This hateful group that runs the University must be held accountable. The entire administration needs to be terminated. I hope that you find lawyers that will fight to get those people fired and get you a huge settlement.

Definitely do not apologize, for what? The fact that they keep quiet probably speaks for itself. Agree with Mollie.

Do Not Apologize for standing for israel and the Jewish people. Hamas are as bad as Hitler. Anyone who supports Hamas are just as bad as Hitler. I said what I said.

“Feelings are like an all-you-can-eat coupon for defamation.” 💯 The legal system in the US and Canada has no idea how to deal with these social dynamics.

"We will forget the words of our enemies but we will always remember the silence of our friends"

--Martin Luther King Jr

It's moving, and rare these days, to see someone take a principled stand even at the risk of personal loss.

I remember the feeling when I read Erich Eyck's "Bismarck and the Unification of Germany ", written during the Nazi years, where he lamented that Jews were no longer allowed to speak, while in 1871 the Proclamation of the German Empire was announced by the Jewish Speaker of the Reichstag.

I hope we will soon see better times; if we do it will be because of courageous people like Professor Finlayson taking a stand. Bravo, Sir!

Good for you. Definitely no apology necessary. If you have good lawyers and they persist, I hope they make the university pay you $2 million in damages. What an excuse of a university it is, but then what an excuse of a university all our universities are. They are failing our youth and our youth will wind up falling the society they inherit. By the way, who was your father and what and where did he teach? A Dr. Finlayson with a sharp mind taught me first year English at McGill.

Please stand firm and NEVER apologise for telling the truth. The persecution you describe is truly sick and frightening. As a fellow Christian, I pray you will have justice and peace. Indeed I know that you will.

Thank you, words like this help me, they fuel me, they strengthen me, I think of my dad who just passed, I remember he turned down a promotion because he felt an Indian Professor deserved it more, and he refused. He held to his principles and I was proud of him even though we were definitely lower middle class. I want to be my father's son.

Calling hamas nazis is entirely appropriate and accurate. As for those whose delicate feelings were hurt by it, I don't give a damn about their hurt feelings. Somehow referring to Jews in the vilest way is perfectly fine and the feelings of Jews be damned. The antisemites can dish it out, but they can't take it. Why should we give a damn about the feelings of those who hate us and have no qualms with openly expressing their hatred?

The West's loss of moral compass and capacity to exercise critical thinking skills is plainly evident in its inability to distinguish between free speech and licentious speech. To recall, some examples of licentious speech include defamation of character, libel, slander, sedition, luring, entrapment, and hate speech (incitement to hate an identifiable group).

Thus, we have the spectacle of those most loudly calling for free speech being the very ones trying to shut down free speech itself on the grounds that any criticism of their actions or ideology is racist discrimination. Case in point, the current rioters on streets, campuses and on-line videos declare their the verbal and physical attacks on Jews and Israel is merely the exercise of their freedom of speech rights. But note how they meet any criticism of their accusations or agitprop tactics with cries of racism and Islamophobia. And so gaslighting is elevated to Orwellian perfection.

The foregoing article by Prof. Finlayson is a further example why the West urgently needs to pass anti-kufarphobia laws.

Keep strong Prof. Finlayson, John Iveson, and The Post. Stay true to fact, and the West's tried and true democratic principled values.
