Fantastic piece. I was confused tho by the times you mention Palestine as though it existed in the Ottoman era. I thought Palestine existed two times in history— 1. When the Romans named the area Palestina and 2. When the British mandated the land Palestine. Maybe I missed the explanation? Thx!
