What the Holocaust Means Today
Today, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, dive into the essays that uncover hidden lessons, stories, and truths everyone should know.

Please consider supporting our mission to help everyone better understand and become smarter about the Jewish world. A gift of any amount helps keep our platform free of advertising and accessible to all.
Over the past several months, we’ve published essays exploring the Holocaust from angles most people never see: the stories, the lessons, and the truths that go beyond dates and numbers. Some of these essays challenge conventional narratives, others uncover hidden patterns of survival, memory, and Jewish resilience.
Now, we’re bringing it all together in one place: a collection of everything we’ve written, carefully curated to help you understand not just history, but how it shapes the future of the Jewish People.
Whether you’ve read some of these pieces or are encountering them for the first time, this is your chance to see the full picture — and ask yourself what it means for our community, our identity, and our responsibility moving forward.

The USHMM made a grave error that I believe speaks to how and why The Holocaust is ignored, misrepresented and manipulated.
Rather than utilize that accurate comment by Governor Tim Walz comparing children in Minnesota in hiding to Anne Frank due to being profiled by the color of their skin, the language they speak, last names that don't sound American enough to the gun wielding xenophobic ICE thugs, etc, the museum chose to announce publicly that it was "offended" by such a comparison, therefore missing an opportunity to EDUCATE and ELUCIDATE the obvious parallels to Nazi occupied Europe and the treatment of the "other."
If the museum leadership cannot see what is obvious to any of us who have studied the Holocaust for any length of time, my strong feeling is that they should shut their doors. "Never Again" means "NEVER AGAIN" while it is happening - and it is happening in Minnesota. History is useful when we can learn from it, and when someone's ego is too offended to teach, they've lost the plot.

Plenty of information that I was not aware of. For example, many Nazi collaborators have escaped to Australia after WWII. That's why there are so many hate mongers there. Another large community are the dependents of the Templers who were expelled from the German Colonies in then Palestine by the Brits during WWII for joining the Nazi party.
You should read the following book.
The Mascot

The book is about the Nazis from Lithuania and Latvia.
It also mentions the Nazi resorts for children and others.....
